Autumn newsletter

22.10.2020

Hello,

and welcome to the post-season, fall edition of the TBS TEAM 24Newsletter. This summer, like every other so far, was full of challenges and adventures to which as always, we were able to rise to and handle them with excellence and with a smile on our faces. By the beginning of the season in June, we had already got used to the "new" life and conditions created by the appearance of Covid-19. We have enhanced our team's knowledge and set off for another, our “twenty-fourth” season. Covid-19 has brought us the type of new cases this summer, which we did not even consider as possible in our wildest dreams before the virus has appeared. Please feel free to read below, with what type of cases we were dealing with and how we have successfully solved them.

But that the words will not only be in regards to health (despite the fact that it is always in the first place!), do not forget to also read the part describing how we have managed with the assistance of our amazing partners to successfully help a group of friends who were stranded with their boat in the middle of the Piran bay. Yes, you heard that right! Despite decades of caring for steel horses with four wheels, we also have a network of contractors along the Adriatic coast who take care of holidaymakers who are left stranded with their water vessels.

AIR AMBULANCE TRANSPORT

This year, the unexpected appearance of Covid-19 has stirred up the summer tourist season. Most people have decided to stay at home and spend the summer in their own country. The slightly braver ones went across the borders to the nearest seaside resorts and the bravest went a little bit further. Unfortunately, we are not safe from the virus anywhere, but we believe that we can coexist with it wherever we are, if only we follow the basic instructions and recommended safety measures.
Most holidaymakers considering those safety measures and advices, we believe have spent a nice holiday wherever they have been on holiday this year.
Unfortunately, not everyone had such an experience and we had to help them to the best of our knowledge and abilities. One of them was a 52-year-old man who became infected with the virus while staying in Afghanistan. Within the network of our contractors, we have managed to organize an air ambulance transport for the client with all the necessary equipment and a well-trained team of medical professional to escort him to the home hospital in Bosnia.
We would be lying, if we said that this case was a piece of cake for us, but we are certainly proud that together with the help of our terrific partners and our excellent team we have managed to pull that on through, despite two very demanding terrains regarding bureaucracy, unresponsiveness and lack of information. We were able to rise to the occasion in the face of all those challenges and successfully transport the patient to a continued treatment in his home country probably saving his life by doing so. This is definitely one of the cases, that we will talk about proudly and happily in the future for a long time to come, since it is a type of a case by handling of which, we had to learn a lot of new things and acquire new experiences.
At this point, we would like to thank once again to our partners and our team of agents, who kept a watchful eye over the case through days and nights and made sure, that everything went - from the first to the last point - as planned and desired. This is just one of the examples that we have proudly highlighted, but there have certainly been quite a few of such similar cases throughout this year which have pushed our boundaries, made us learn a lot and let us rejoice in our success.

VESSEL ASSISTANCE

On a hot July Saturday, we have received a call for a special assistance case, the type of which our agents collect bets on every year about who will be the lucky one to be chosen for the first time to organize an aid for a vessel in distress. Given the fact, that the organization of assistance services for vessels is not so common occurrence in our assistance center, our agents like to joke and collect bets on who will be the first lucky person in a season to rescue the boat.
A group of friends found themselves in trouble, when their motor on the speedboat has failed in the middle of the Piran bay. TBS Team 24 rolled up the sleeves in the middle of the season and offered a helping hand to the insured. We have managed to successfully solve this case full of challenges and with the help of our reliable partners, we have managed to safely bring the vessel and its passengers to the nearest port, where the vessel was taken in for a repair.

PLANNED BUSINESS CHANGES IN 2020/2021

With the end of the summer season as the peaceful autumn begins, we always take time to analyze our work throughout the season and the quality of our services provided as well as prepare and outline new guidelines for the future seasons to come. Since we always try our best to offer the customers the best possible services, we always manage to find some more room for improvements.

In the coming months, we will work extensively on further developing a network of our contractors, both technical and medical partners. A greater emphasis than before, will be given to the plans of our contractors on their commitments to bring about improvements in the direction of:

• Quality of service (rating / evaluations of work performed by assistance users)

• Calculations of the average EURO vehicle class (commitment to improve the average value of the EURO vehicle fleet class)

• Calculations of the average age and class of the vehicle fleet (work and replacement vehicles)

• Investment plans in the infrastructure for the next annual period

• Plans for improving the technical as well as customer car training of their staff

• Taking sufficient precautions considering the current health crisis with the Corona virus.

In the face of coming winter with all its joys and the work that it usually brings us, we will have quite a bit of work to do on these improvements in the establishing of an even better partnership network than we are used to having. With the above-mentioned improvements, we want to get even closer to our customers and offer the best possible service on the market.

That will be all for today! We are already looking forward for you to read our next newsletter, which we are assembling for you with the winter edition of TBS Team 24 news.
